Mediavine Dashboard, you can now enable the new Grow save button, which appears in the standard styles of Create cards.<\/li>\n<li>The button will help encourage readers to save the recipe or how-to in their bookmarks list which will also encourage them to sign up, authenticate and consent to personalized advertisements.<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;re seeing that this button has a <strong>3x increase in Button?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/products\/create\/\">Create<\/a> save button is an additional way to favorite a page using Grow. The button will appear next to the print button within the Create recipe and how-to cards. (Right now, it doesn&#8217;t work within Lists.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once a reader uses this button they will find the post in their bookmarks section when they&#8217;re logged into Grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This save button has the most interaction we&#8217;ve seen so far with Grow bookmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Card_Styles_Create-1024x463.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26576\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-can-i-customize-it\">How Can I Customize It?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, there are save button options for all five of Create&#8217;s card styles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Simple Square or Dark Simple Square<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classy Circle or Dark Classy Circle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hero Image<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re already running <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/mediavine-create\/\">Create<\/a> and using one of our standard card styles, all you need to do is toggle the setting on in your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/mediavine-dashboard-settings\/\">Mediavine Dashboard<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/woman-thinking-on-laptop.jpg\" alt=\"woman thinking and reading on laptop\" class=\"wp-image-25237\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-happens-when-a-reader-clicks\">What Happens When a Reader Clicks?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If the user is not logged in \u2014 <em>and it&#8217;s their first anonymous bookmark for the site<\/em> \u2014 when &#8220;save&#8221; is clicked, a tooltip will appear to encourage users to log in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tooltip appears above or below the save button depending on their scroll position, or it will appear attached to the widget on mobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Untitled-1024x603.png\" alt=\"screenshot of a save button on a Create card\" class=\"wp-image-26480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-create-card-save-button-by-the-numbers\">Create Card Save Button by the Numbers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you ready for some math? You know that we couldn&#8217;t post a blog post about the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/grow-me-widget-unveiling\/\">Grow<\/a> save button within <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/creative-ways-to-use-create\/\">Create cards<\/a> without telling you the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ICYMI:<\/strong> Mediavine publishers who have enabled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/grow-me\/\">Grow<\/a> are already authenticating users and building the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/grow-me-first-party-data-and-the-future-of-advertising\/\">first-party data<\/a> that will be oh-so-important when the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/google-chrome-to-phase-out-third-party-cookies-as-privacy-concerns-reshape-ecosystem\/\">third-party cookie<\/a> crumbles in late 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But how does this Create\/Grow crossover save button help?<br><br>The <strong>favorites<\/strong> feature is currently the main way to encourage readers to sign up for Grow, so boosting your favorites is incredibly important in generating first-party data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news? With this feature, the save recipe button does <em>exactly <\/em>this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On our small sample size, we saw the save button increase favorites by <strong>200%<\/strong>. Yes, two hundred percent. As in you will have THREE times the amount of favorites after enabling this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-other-recipe-cards\">Other Recipe Cards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The save button for Grow is currently only available for Create cards. We are preparing developer documentation for other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/recipe-card-ad-settings\/\">recipe card plugins<\/a> to integrate with the save button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re interested please let those developers know! How do I enable the save button in my Create card?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re so glad you asked! If you&#8217;re already running <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/create-and-grow-past-present-future\/\">Grow and Create<\/a>, you can enable it today in your Mediavine Dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Go ahead and log in, navigate to <em>Settings &gt; Grow (Beta)<\/em> and scroll down to the bottom.
